This is what the Bible says about what is surely to take place and why it's important that you know: And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come. "Matthew 24:14"://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/matthew/24-14.html This is happening in the world right now - that's why we have church, missionaries, Christianity! Your decision to accept or reject Jesus is the only thing that will matter when the world reaches its end ... Jesus, the one who was born of a virgin, spread the news about God, died on the cross and rose again, has already gone before to make a way for us. For Christ has entered into heaven itself to appear now before God as our Advocate. He did not go into the earthly place of worship, for that was merely a copy of the real Temple in heaven. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the earthly high priest who enters the Most Holy Place year after year to offer the blood of an animal. If that had been necessary, he would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But no! He came once for all time, at the end of the age, to remove the power of sin forever by his sacrificial death for us. And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. Why is there a need for Him to return? He will come again but not to deal with our sins again. This time he will bring salvation to all those who are eagerly waiting for him. "Hebrews 9:24-28 NLT"://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/hebrews/passage.aspx?q=hebrews+9:24-28 But its important that we don't ignore or take lightly what Jesus did for us on the cross because: "I, the LORD, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and the haughtiness of the mighty. "Isaiah 13:11"://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/isaiah/13-11.html Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the LORD's wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth." "Zephaniah 1:18"://www.biblestudytools.com/zephaniah/1-18.html And here's a warning for those who gave Jesus a go then decided not to continue: And when people escape from the wicked ways of the world by learning about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and then get tangled up with sin and become its slave again, they are worse off than before. "2 Peter 2:20"://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/2-peter/2-20.html Now that we know what we have - Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God - let's not let it slip through our fingers. We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all - all but the sin. So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. "Hebrews 4:14-16"://www.biblestudytools.com/msg/hebrews/passage.aspx?q=hebrews+4:14-16 Then you will be part of the new heaven and new earth that will come after the evil has gone - a place that was offered to us before Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. "Revelation 21:1"://www.biblestudytools.com/nlt/revelation/21-1.html And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a beautiful bride prepared for her husband. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!"
