The Futility Of War - Lest We Forget

Wow, Attraction – this Hungarian group practices every day amidst ‘mouse and rubbish’ to bring forth this amazing performance that proves our potential as individuals and the futility of war.

To present a flawless presentation with such a huge message demonstrates that the sky’s the limit when we put our minds to something and believe in ourselves.

This moving video reminds me of the sacrifice and senselessness of war – lest we forget. It doesn’t speak of any achievement from war, only the pain when someone has to be obedient to death – such an invasion of people’s lives – such futility.

Each of us have all it takes to fulfil every task we’re designed to fulfil here on earth, that’s why we’re all different. We all have specific roles to play.

What does God say about us?
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. Psalm 139:14

Sir, which is the most important command in the laws of Moses?” Jesus replied, ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbour as much as you love yourself.’ Matthew 22:36-39

This, sometimes known as the Golden Rule, says we should do to others what we want them to do for us so it’s no surprise that when someone is forced to go to war, they may spend the rest of their lives living with the horrors they experienced.

What does God say specifically about war?
Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, "Any kingdom at war with itself is doomed. A city or home divided against itself is doomed. Matthew 12:25 NLT – Also Luke 11:17 NLT

But although God wants us to live by this Golden Rule, He knew we wouldn’t when He said…
The nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. Matthew 24:7 NLT

Again God warns us of future events:
A kingdom at war with itself will collapse. Mark 3:24 NLT

Nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be earthquakes in many parts of the world, and famines. But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come. Mark 13:8 NLT

Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over. Huge earthquakes will occur in various places. There will be famines. You’ll think at times that the very sky is falling. Luke 21:10 MSG

Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don’t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn’t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. James 4:1 MSG
