Have you tried Jesus?

Jesus said to the people, “I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me, you won’t be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path.” John 8:12

Jesus loves you! He wants a relationship with you, to give you a life full of joy and purpose.

Why do you need Him in your life?

• Because you have a past. You can’t go back, but He can. The Bible says, “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8) He can walk into those places of sin and failure, wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning.

• Because you need a friend. Jesus knows the worst about you, yet He believes the best. Why? Because He sees you not as you are, but as you will be when He gets through with you. What a friend.

• Because He holds the future. Who else are you going to trust? In His hands you are safe and secure – today, tomorrow and for all eternity.
His Word says, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12

It’s easy to accept the love ofJesus into your life, just say the words:

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NLT

“Change your life. Turn to God and be baptised, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38

Lord Jesus, I invite You into my life. I believe You died for me and that Your blood paid for my sins and provides me with the gift of eternal life. By faith I receive that gift and I acknowledge You as my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit – not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength – that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in.

And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

God can do anything, you know – far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3: 14-21

Once you accept Jesus He says:
Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian. Ephesians 2:19 Living Bible

A New Life
What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole. 1 Peter 1:3 MSG
