The Only One On The Planet.. You Are!

What’s the purpose of life to you?
It’s a big question, do you have a clue?
Why you’re so different to the others you know?
With talents and abilities they’ll never quite grow?

Are you here for a purpose or were you a mistake,
From a one time explosion that determined your fate?

Some teach we’re complete with the heavens and the hells
That they’re all deep within us so we should easily tell,
That the hells are the conflicts throughout our existence.
And the heavens are the goals of our persistence

But they go even further, to say our salvation’s within
That we allow what comes, we choose whether we win
That the source of our conflicts, deep ambitions and goals
Are the means to solving the concerns in our souls!

But how does that teaching work for you?
When life’s deepest struggles rise out of the blue?

Do you feel less than perfect when you can’t get it right
As you search deep within for escape from your plight?

If it’s true that within lies solutions to know
Then why in despair do we not know where to go?
As meditation fails to melt all our troubles away
And we feel less than perfect at the end of the day?

When you’re angry, depressed, with suicidal thoughts
And you just want to end the fight that you’ve fought
Does it mean you’re a failure when you don’t get it right?
As you use all our effort and all of your might?

Good thoughts may help get us throughout the day
When troubles are few and seem far away
But days don’t always go the way that we’ve planned
And we can suddenly find ourselves in a bit of a jamb.

Why is our thinking so lost when we face
Happy times upended as we loose our pace?
Should we still find solutions when were facing such loss
And trying to change feelings just makes us more cross?

When someone close decides to end their despair
Leaving others bewilded with no reasons to share
Of the loved one who left and is no longer there
If there’s an answer inside us for every care?

And when the one that we cherished has taken their last breath
And we’re faced with such loss that there seems nothing left?
Are we then to be strong, pushing bad thoughts away
When sadness that invades seems there to stay

In this perfect world when all seems to fits into place,
We can believe we’re all powerful as we run our race
But to keep good thoughts is a discipline too hard to take
Too much to ask as our heart’s begin to break

That we must just think good thoughts and send trouble away
Can make us feel worse when it doesn’t work out that way
Deep down we all know we’re powerless for change
There’s only One who can save us and life rearrange.

For we’re created to love, to nurture and care
And when things don’t go right it’s sometimes too hard to bear
For we are designed to cast our burdens away
To the One who will wipe all our tears away

Without Him we flounder and may not find our way
But when Jesus guides us, His peace is with us to stay.
And about the number of times God thinks of us each day
Here’s what the Bible has to say:

O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore!
When I awake each morning, you’re still with me. Psalm 139:17-18

We will never step into our perfect place in life on our own. That’s why Jesus came.
Jesus told this simple story, “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep.
All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them.
I am the Gate.
Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture.
A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy.
I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than ever dreamed of. John 10:10 The Message

God’s plan all along was for a very different world, where everyone shared, loved, respected each other with harmony for all.
Imagine a world where everyone lived by God’s design.

But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:
joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
patience that endures,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart, and
strength of spirit.
Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
Galatians 5:22-23

But man, being man, decided on an easier way
And do what we liked, to do it ‘my way’
But common sense proves we can’t all do our thing
And bring harmony to others without causing some sting

Having things ‘our way’ only works for us
And before long others begin to fuss
We aren’t designed for selfishness, we were born to care,
To put others first and begin to share

That’s why you’re unique, there’s no other like you
And you’re designed to contribute, that much is true
As you learn from Jesus you’ll better know what to do
And discover the true reason why God made you you.

As for me I’ve known Him my whole life through
And I’ve done my best with all He’s asked me to do
And I’ve found His Word completely true
I’ve found all that He"s promised in His Word He will do.

Though it makes no sense to let God have His way
That’s the way we must start, at the end of the day

When we say yes to the one who knows us best
And we cautiously put God to the test
We have victory over the realms of darkness at last
A reward for believing and the end to our past

And why does that even matter to me
That God’s love for you, you can also see?
If you don’t know, then how can you share
In this love that He offers to people everywhere

And thoughts of death hold no fear for me
For I know exactly where I’m going to be.
For my Father is preparing a place me
