Why I Follow Jesus...
Becoming a Christian is about God telling us what to do,
And that very possibly may not sit right with you,
But once you learn to listen it will make perfect sense
To follow the One who understands you, with complete confidence!
So why am I a Christian?
Because God’s Word (the Bible) contains everything I need to know
About how best I should live and where best I should go
God’s Spirit within me prompts me to stay far away
From the perils that hover and will stand in my way
I’ve learned from experience that trusting God is secure
As I’ve followed His leading I’ve learned His promise is sure.
It’s so clear that His guidance is directly from God
Jesus proved His supreme love with the steps He had trod
Up the hill to Calvary He carried MY cross
To declare ME not guilty for MY sin and MY dross.
Now that One, Jesus, reveals the best path I should take
To live my life without making a regrettable yet unchanging mistake
He’s the One I will vouch for, He’s my go to guide,
The One to bring shelter and a safe place to hide!
He’s left us instructions for all that I’ll face
The more His Spirit guides me, the more I discover God’s grace
For every trial or trouble I’ll ever come across
Thanks to the One who hung dying one dark day on that cross.
Once you understand all God has prepared for you
With heart and eyes wide open, you’ll always know what to do
For this gift of God’s redemption comes without any cost
And with child like trust you will never be lost.

Below are Bible verses that you’ll not understand
Without believing and trusting and taking hold of his hand
See what He says, He wants to carry you through
every deep dark valley that will ever come to you.
Then there’ll be smooth sailing when your last day is done
As open arms welcome you into Paradise for eternity with God’s Son!

I am your strength
I will never leave you
I have plans for you to prosper
I hear your prayers
I will fight for you
I will always love
I will give you peace
Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
God, I’ll never comprehend them!
I couldn’t even begin to count them—
any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!
And please, God, do away with wickedness for good!
And you murderers—out of here!—
all the men and women who belittle you, God,
infatuated with cheap god-imitations.
See how I hate those who hate you, God,
see how I loathe all this godless arrogance;
I hate it with pure, unadulterated hatred.
Your enemies are my enemies! Psalm 139:17-22
Investigate my life, O God,
find out everything about me;
Cross-examine and test me,
get a clear picture of what I’m about;
See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—
then guide me on the road to eternal life. Psalm 139
Romans 8:18-39 Message Bible
What Jesus says it means to follow Him:
“Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat—I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how.
Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?
If any of you is embarrassed with me and the way I’m leading you, know that the Son of Man will be far more embarrassed with you when he arrives in all his splendour in company with the Father and the holy angels.
This isn’t, you realise, pie in the sky by and by.
Some who have taken their stand right here are going to see it happen, see with their own eyes the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:23-27 The Message (MSG)
John 11:26 shall never die…
From the basement to the penthouse…
Natural mind brags about their sin, can save themselves, preach man’s virtue
If u say it it will be yours
Why subject the cross? To be liked, to be accepted.
We are to follow the truth of Chridt, the blueprint for life. Follow, do not try to improve it modify it .
Daily growing in Christ is a partnership with the Holy Spirit
2 Tim 1:13
False teachers and preachers are determined to undermine Gods truth but He is able to keep it as we put our trust in Him and keep growing in Him
We are not alone, lean on God.
Ground you confidence in the light of Gods Word. He is faithful
He will accomplish all His will
And He will take is him
Even in the midst of uncertainty, God always has a plan!
