The Afterlife

Eternity…
Is heaven your destiny after you take your last breath?
Does everybody go to heaven and do we begin our life again?
Do we just return to nothing as if we’ve never really mattered, is our life just a waste of time or some kind of cruel joke?
People we love who have gone before, are they really waiting for us so the love we enjoyed with them can start again?
Do past loved ones gone before really watch over us, guiding us and keeping us safe like we imagine they will?

You’ve learned about the big bang theory and how we all began, but none of us were around when this big bang took place.
And we’ve seen the result of explosions over Ukraine and the devastation left behind.
We know the result of any fire is to bring loss, destruction, devastation and death.

So how does that part of us that can make us think, reason, decide what’s best for us come to us as the result of such chaos as an explosion? Or the grub that changes into a perfect butterfly, or the rebirth that comes to all of creation so that the world keeps turning, the sun keeps arriving each morning to usher in another day for us to rise up and make the world a better place?

Why are we being encouraged to place any credit on a ridiculous theory for this awesome, intricate design of the planet we live on with a sunrise and a sunset as bookends to each day and an amazing rainbow that comes when the rain falls from the sky. And where does that rain in the clouds come from? Where does it go to during a clear blue sky? And if we’re all from apes, why do we still have apes doing that that apes do and still reproducing after their own kind? I’ll do my best to try to explain…

Anything ‘God related’ is now being systematically discarded as irrelevant, as something of a fantasy or a myth, but what does popular teaching have to do with your ultimate reality? That’s the best question…

Adam and Eve, the first couple to walk this earth, had a dream existence.
They didn’t have to work to get food, nothing and no-one opposed them. They were free to bask in the luxury as all their needs were provided. Everything they could wish for was freely laid out before them. Imagine that. And yet something inside them made them curious for me.

There was one thing God instructed them not to do. One thing!
God’s plan was that they should multiply and fill the earth and sex is the only way to do that so to believe that the bad thing Adam and Eve did was have sex is false, so what were they instructed not to do?

They were told not to eat the fruit on one tree, the tree of knowledge.
And their disobedience brought trouble to all mankind.

All The Creator asked of them was that they don’t eat from the tree of knowledge because He knew the trouble they would get themselves into if they did.

Because they had need of nothing they didnt see a need to obey God. They were happy on their own.

Gods plan was to have fellowship with them, to delight in their company.

Hebrews 9:
If we want a relationship with the God of the Universe we have to do it on His terms, not ours. There is no other way to God except by the way He has provided and the benefits we receive from Jesus death on the cross are immense and never ending!

His sacrifice transcended all earlier sacrifice. It was voluntary, animals were taken against their will. it was voluntary, not from the compulsion of another, it was all loving because it was done for us and it finished once and for all any need from the sacrifice of another., a complete success!

Eternal life only comes from Christ who died.

We must treat God in the way He expects, not the way we believe He will like.

There needs to be a death before life can take place v16

V19-22 blood needs to be shed to show us something significant price has been paid. V22

Jesus didnt get out of it the easy way He gladly went to the cross so full and free forgiveness is ours forever.
Forgiveness free, complete, no matter what we’ve been done and forever

He will one day appear again and we will receive His Salvation.

Ask God to help u to understand what He has done for you.

Heaven is for those who have realised our need for Him and has accepted His sacrifice to free us.

Pray that you will get it. That you will accept his offer of salvation and that u will begin to learn all that He’s done for you.

They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

So why are we being taught in schools to believe lies like the big bang,
You could also ask why families and marriages are being dissolved and why parents can’t discipline their children any more, and why God’s laws are now ignored.

Laws like the Golden Rule – ‘Do to others what you would like them to do for you’ Imagine a world where everyone cares for each other.
And ‘You reap what you so’ – that one went out a long time ago, replaced by disrespect of authority of any kind and the rebellion that follows as this world sinks into darkness that want’s to be seen as love and light.

So why do I care that you understand this truth?
Even to the point of making myself unpopular if that’s what it takes?

Because when we reach out to God and discover that He’s all we’ll ever need!

When life is over it’s then too late to finally learn the truth about the lies you’ve been taught in this dark world and about where you will spend your eternity.

When you finally understand the futility of the ‘Big Bang Theory’ and the amazing love that brought Jesus close to us and when you’ve been able to turn your face to the God of truth, you can make your choice either to become a Christian or not. I pray that you will take a step towards Him today.. but if you decide not to accept Him and all that He offers you, you won’t feel ripped off because no-one ever told you that your choice about Jesus will determine where you spend eternity, either in heaven with your Creator, or that other place that will not be good for you.
