God, Three In One.
It is reported that Albert Einstein with all of his wisdom still wasn’t completely sure what he believed about the existence of God.
How about you? Do you believe in God?
Many verses in the Bible tell us that there is only one God and this God comes to us as God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
The following Bible verses explain that God is plural…
GOD spoke:
“Let us make human beings in OUR image, make them
reflecting OUR nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female.
God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.” Genesis 1: 26-28
GOD our heavenly Father knew we would never achieve perfection in our own strength by keeping His commandments, so He sent JESUS to show us how to live and ultimately become our salvation.
For God is one, and there is one Mediator between God and the sons of men—the true man, Jesus, the Anointed One. 1 Timothy 2:5 TPT
If this is hard for you to understand that God can be plural rather than singular think about an ant in the path of an impending flood. No matter how hard we want to warn that ant to go to higher ground and be safe the ant would ignore us because we can’t speak ant language. The only way we could communicate with an ant is to become one! That’s why Jesus came.
JESUS’ one purpose in coming to earth was to save us! Even after crucifixion and death JESUS said" “Father, FORGIVE THEM; they don’t know what they’re doing.” as they divided up his clothes and threw dice for them, taunting, “He saved others. Let’s see him save himself! The Messiah of God—ha! The Chosen—ha!” Luke 23:34-35
Though He could have easily saved Himself and annihilate all the scoffers, JESUS because of His supreme love for us accepted all came to Him without a word. And in resurrection He returned all praise back to GOD.
JESUS was seen by many as He ascended into heaven. And He understood how much He would be missed by those following Him! To comfort those who were sad to see Him go He promised a Comforter, the HOLY SPIRIT, to remain close with not only the followers that watched Him go, but also with all who believed afterwards as our spiritual guide, to bring wisdom and comfort each time we ask, so we’re equipped to fulfil the purpose He has for us, our reason for being.
JESUS came to us in obedience to God, even to the point of death on the cross, so we could be freed from our failures and mistakes. Then JESUS returned to heaven and sits at the right hand of God interceding for us until GOD says it’s time for Him to return for those who follow Him, those who are still alive and also those who have died.
And when He returns, JESUS won’t come again as a baby like He came last time so He could live here on earth and show us by example how to live the way He wants us to, this time JESUS will return as our Saviour – the King of Kings and every knee will bow before Him and confess that He is Lord!
Just as it is written:
“As surely as I am the Living God, I tell you:
‘Every knee will bow before me
and every tongue will confess the truth
and glorify me!’ ” Romans 14:11 TPT
The authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm. Philippians 2:10 TPT
The Holy Spirit was left with us when Jesus returned to Heaven – our personal connection with God who speaks to us and listens when we speak to Him.
So we have GOD in supreme control, JESUS who came to forgive and rescue us and the HOLY SPIRIT, our constant companion, right with us each step until Jesus comes back again.
Think about this: Can steam, or ice, or even a snow flake be produced without water? We see water in many forms and accept it’s diversity because we live with water each day and when ice or snow melt the water returns. So can’t the one who created water be also manifest in different forms?
If you still have a problem believing that God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit are God, ask yourself:
Can you have a personal with Jesus Christ without a connection to His Holy Spirit or God?
Can you know God without ever receiving forgiveness from Jesus and this living Holy Spirit connection?
Can you have a connection with the Holy Spirit without knowing a relationship with Jesus and God?
Some say they are guided by ‘Spirit’ but this ‘Spirit’ connection is not from God and will never bring you to God. If we try to take short cuts we will never experience what God has waiting for us.
The three aspects of God are are equally important to a living relationship with Our Creator, the Master Designer of the Universe, God and when we accept that God is all He said He is and put our trust in Him He reveals Himself to us and we see who He really is.
We are not here by some mistake and regardless of what you may have been taught about our origin, our world didn’t come into being by a catastrophic incident, in fact it takes more faith to believe in a big bang than it does to simply accept God at His Word!
GOD, the Alpha and Omega, the only God and Creator of our Universe who has created us in His own image and has given us His concent to reign over all He has made is right now patiently waiting as we carelessly devalue all He holds dear, but God is still in control and will have the final say when He sends Jesus back to claim those who have a personal relationship with Him!
With our world hurtling into such turmoil, what’s He waiting for, why doesn’t He just come back?
God’s heart is that everyone must know He loves them. That’s why He said:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15 NIV
That’s my job as a Christian and the reason why I’ve written this today.
Again He said:
But prior to the end of the age, the hope of the gospel must first be preached to all nations.Mark 13:10 TPT
This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 TPT
Sceptics will never experience God. It’s our choice to doubt or to take that first step to ask God to show Himself to us and from personal experience I know He will. It’s that easy and yet He waits….
