The person that passed this on to you cares deeply about you and the following information could transform your life forever.

You may not know this but the Bible is an historic document, containing many prophecies about a promised Messiah who would come to earth to free us from our sin. When Jesus was here on earth, he fulfilled each and every prophecy, not one event was left undone. God knew from the beginning of time that we would one day need to be saved from ourselves because no matter how hard we try, we will never live the way God planned for us without His help.

‘Look! Your Savior comes, Ready to do what he said he’d do, prepared to complete what he promised. Isaiah 62:11

For the LORD your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song. Zephaniah 3:17

Jesus was seen by many witnesses and the events of His life were recorded first hand by those closest to Him, those who knew Him best. Here are details of each Old Testament prophecy and when they were fulfilled by Jesus. Click on each heading to read the original prophecy then see in red where they were fulfilled:

BORN OF A WOMAN – Genesis 3:15
Fulfilled: Joseph, her fiance, being a just man, decided to break the engagement quietly, so as not to disgrace her publicly. 20 As he considered this, he fell asleep, and an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, "do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20
But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. 5 God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. 6 And because you Gentiles have become his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, and now you can call God your dear Father. Galatians 4:4

Fulfilled:Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, 2 “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We have seen his star as it arose, and we have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:1
And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, his fianc’e, who was obviously pregnant by this time. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.
She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the village inn. Luke 2:4-6

" Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. “Don’t be frightened, Mary,” the angel told her, "for God has decided to bless you! You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus. Luke 1:26-31

And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” Luke 1:33
But to his Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. Your royal power is expressed in righteousness. You love what is right and hate what is wrong. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.” And, “Lord, in the beginning you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. Even they will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will roll them up like an old coat. They will fade away like old clothing. “People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing wonderful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know. But you followed God’s prearranged plan.
With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to the cross and murdered him.

However, God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life again, for death could not keep him in its grip.

King David said this about him: ‘I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is filled with joy and my mouth shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave. You have shown me the way of life, and you will give me wonderful joy in your presence.’

“Dear brothers, think about this! David wasn’t referring to himself when he spoke these words I have quoted, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among us. But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants would sit on David’s throne as the Messiah.

David was looking into the future and predicting the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that the Messiah would not be left among the dead and that his body would not rot in the grave. "This prophecy was speaking of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and we all are witnesses of this. Acts 2:22-32

Fulfilled: When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Mark 16:19
God said to my Master, "Sit here at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool. Matthew 22:44

Fulfilled: Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway.

We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him. Romans 5:6-8

Following is a detailed account of John’s vision of heaven. Heaven sounds like an amazing place!

Then I saw a door standing open in heaven and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me with the sound of a mighty trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.”

And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it!

The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones — jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.

Twenty-four thrones surrounded him, and twenty-four elders sat on them. They were all clothed in white and had gold crowns on their heads.

And from the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the throne were seven lamp stands with burning flames. They are the seven spirits of God.

In front of the throne was a shiny sea of glass, sparkling like crystal. In the center and around the throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and back.

The first of these living beings had the form of a lion; the second looked like an ox; the third had a human face; and the fourth had the form of an eagle with wings spread out as though in flight.

Each of these living beings had six wings, and their wings were covered with eyes, inside and out. Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty — the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

Whenever the living beings give glory and honor and thanks to the one sitting on the throne, the one who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down and worship the one who lives forever and ever.

And they lay their crowns before the throne and say, “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.” So Jesus is highly regarded in heaven.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know from personal experience what its like to accept Jesus as my saviour and become a child of God, and all the benefits that follow this decision confirm that it’s true. I’m going to heaven, how about you?

All that He achieved for you is wasted unless you also realise how amazing His sacrifice for you was and accept on His terms all that He offers you. Please pass it on to your friends because even if you reject this information, those who you love have the right to know!
