The Coming Antichrist Versus The Coming Christ

Warning: Don’t believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you. Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are a lot of lying preachers loose in the world….

The antichrist is one who is opposed to or sets themselves up as a substitute for Christ.
The Bible warns us that a false prophet will arise – a religious leader in support of the Beast, performing great signs and miracles. Everyone will be ordered to take the mark of the beast.
Refusal to worship will equal death:

It performs great signs: before men’s eyes it makes fire fall down from heaven to earth. It deceives the inhabitants of the earth by the signs which it is allowed to perform in the presence of the animal, and it tells them to make a statue in honour of the animal which received the sword-thrust and yet survived. Further, it was allowed to give the breath of life to the statue of the animal so that the statue could speak and condemn to death all those who do not worship its statue.

Then it compels all, small and great, rich and poor, free men and slaves, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads. The purpose of this is that no one should be able to buy or sell unless he bears the mark of the name of the animal or the number of its name. Understanding is needed here: let every thinking man calculate the number of the animal. It is the number of a man, and its number is six hundred and sixty-six. From Revelation 13:17 – 18

What does an Antichrist do? Daniel 11:36-45 tells us it will:

MAGNIFIY HIMSELF above every God and blaspheme the true God, (Verse 36)
BE DRUNK ON HIS OWN POWER, be a brutal conquerer – Verse 38 (also found in Revelations 6:2-4)
CONTROL THE WORLD FINANCES (Verse 43)
BLASPHEME GOD and all who are in heaven
HAVE POWER & AUTHORITY over every tribe, people, language and nation
IT WILL DEVOUR THE WHOLE WORLD, DESTROYING EVERYTHING BEFORE IT. Found in Daniel 7:23)
ABOLISH ALL RELIGIONS and require everyone to worship him.

Here are some of the roles he will play:

Those who’s names are written in the book of life will not worship the beast.

But the Evil One will meet his end!

He will pitch his palatial tents between the seas and the glorious Holy Mountain (Zion); yet he will come to his end with no one to help him [in his final battle with God].

And again here in Revelation 19:19-21:
Then I saw the Evil Creature gathering the governments of the earth and their armies to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army.
And the Evil Creature was captured and with him the False Prophet, who could do mighty miracles when the Evil Creature was present—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the Evil Creature’s mark and who worshiped his statue.
Both of them—the Evil Creature and his False Prophet—were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire that burns with sulphur. And their entire army was killed with the sharp sword in the mouth of the one riding the white horse and all the birds of heaven were gorged with their flesh.

How do we know who’s telling the truth?

My dear friends, don’t believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you. Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are a lot of lying preachers loose in the world.

Here’s how you test for the genuine Spirit of God. Everyone who confesses openly his faith in Jesus Christ—the Son of God, who came as an actual flesh-and-blood person—comes from God and belongs to God. And everyone who refuses to confess faith in Jesus has nothing in common with God. This is the spirit of antichrist that you heard was coming.

… Anyone who knows God understands us and listens. The person who has nothing to do with God will, of course, not listen to us. This is another test for telling the Spirit of Truth from the spirit of deception.

God Is Love

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.

My dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us—perfect love!

This is how we know we’re living steadily and deeply in him and he in us:
He’s given us life from his life, from his very own Spirit. Also, we’ve seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Saviour of the world. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. We know it so well, we’ve embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God.

To Love, to Be Loved

God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love. We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.

If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both.
These words are from the Bible in 1 John 4

Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed)? This is the antichrist [the enemy and antagonist of Christ], the one who denies and consistently refuses to acknowledge the Father and the Son. From 1 John 2:22

Watch out for the false leaders—and there are many of them around—who don’t believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as a human being with a body like ours. Such people are against the truth and against Christ.. From 2 John 1:7

But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from satanic attacks of every kind. Found in the Bible in 2 Thessalonians 3:3

“They shall be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in that day when I make up my jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares an obedient and dutiful son. Then you will see the difference between God’s treatment of good men and bad, between those who serve him and those who don’t. In Malachi 3:17-18 in the Bible

War broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought the Dragon. The Dragon and his Angels fought back, but were no match for Michael. They were cleared out of Heaven, not a sign of them left. The great Dragon—ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray—thrown out, and all his Angels thrown out with him, thrown down to earth. Then I heard a strong voice out of Heaven saying,

Salvation and power are established!
Kingdom of our God, authority of his Messiah!
The Accuser of our brothers and sisters thrown out, who accused them day and night before God.
They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness.
They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ.
So rejoice, O Heavens, and all who live there, but doom to earth and sea,

For the Devil’s come down on you with both feet; he’s had a great fall;
He’s wild and raging with anger; he hasn’t much time and he knows it. From Revelation 12:7-12

So its time to think about yourself, are you anti Christ?

Turning away from God isn’t a new thing and current world events were predicted way back in Bible times. So you can see that the Bible is trustworthy and absolutely relevant for today and God is still in control as this world hurdles into absolute chaos. And this one thing I know, the God of the Universe has the final word and there is a happy ending for those who put their trust in Christ.

Children, time is just about up. You heard that Antichrist is coming. Well, they’re all over the place, antichrists everywhere you look. That’s how we know that we’re close to the end. From 1 John 2:18
