Why Jesus Walked The Earth, Why He's Coming Back & How It Will Effect You Personally.

Where will I go when I die? Am I to give an account of the way I chose to live here on earth? Will Jesus return to earth? Will the world end? Read on for the answer to all of these questions.

THAT JESUS WOULD BE BORN IN BETHLEHEM WAS PROPHESIED LONG BEFORE HIS BIRTH. – written between 735 and 700 years before the time of Jesus Christ:

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah.
Yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past, will come from you on my behalf……..And He will stand to lead His flock with the Lord’s strength, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. Then His people will live there undisturbed, for He will be highly honoured around the world. Micah 5:2-4

And this:
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders.
And He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

THAT HE WOULD ONE DAY COME BACK TO EARTH has also been prophesied in ancient scriptures.

PROPHECY ABOUT JESUS & THE END OF THIS AGE:

The Book of Isaiah was written between 701 and 681 years before the time of Jesus Christ:

The royal line of David will be cut off, chopped down like a tree; but from the stump will grow a Shoot—yes, a new Branch from the old root. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and might; the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His delight will be obedience to the Lord. He will not judge by appearance, false evidence, or hearsay, but will defend the poor and the exploited. He will rule against the wicked who oppress them. For he will be clothed with fairness and with truth.

In that day the wolf and the lamb will lie down together, and the leopard and goats will be at peace. Calves and fat cattle will be safe among lions, and a little child shall lead them all. The cows will graze among bears; cubs and calves will lie down together, and lions will eat grass like the cows. Babies will crawl safely among poisonous snakes, and a little child who puts his hand in a nest of deadly adders will pull it out unharmed. Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so shall the earth be full of the knowledge of the Lord.

In that day he who created the royal dynasty of David will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, for the land where he lives will be a glorious place. At that time the Lord will bring back a remnant of his people for the second time, returning them to the land of Israel from Assyria, Upper and Lower Egypt, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and all the distant coastal lands. He will raise a flag among the nations for them to rally to; he will gather the scattered Israelites from the ends of the earth. Then at last the jealousy between Israel and Judah will end; they will not fight each other anymore. Together they will fly against the nations possessing their land on the east and on the west, uniting forces to destroy them, and they will occupy the nations of Edom and Moab and Ammon.

The Lord will dry a path through the Red Sea and wave his hand over the Euphrates, sending a mighty wind to divide it into seven streams that can easily be crossed. He will make a highway from Assyria for the remnant there, just as he did for all of Israel long ago when they returned from Egypt. Isaiah 11

PARTS OF THIS PROPHECY ABOUT JESUS ARE NOW FULFILLED:
The Gospel of Luke was likely written after Jesus was born in Bethlehem between 58 and 65 A.D.

Then Zachariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied,

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; He came and set His people free.
He set the power of salvation in the centre of our lives, and in the very house of David His servant,
Just as He promised long ago through the preaching of His Holy Prophets:
Deliverance from our enemies and every hateful hand;
Mercy to our fathers, as He remembers to do what He said He’d do,
What He swore to our father Abraham—a clean rescue from the enemy camp,
So we can worship Him without a care in the world, made holy before Him as long as we live.

And you, my child, “Prophet of the Highest,” will go ahead of the Master to prepare His ways,
Present the offer of salvation to His people, the forgiveness of their sins.
Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God’s Sunrise will break in upon us,
Shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death,
Then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace. Luke 1:68-79

That Jesus was born is a well recorded fact of history. That he was crucified, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven are also historical facts witnessed by hundreds of people – living evidence, but what was the purpose of His coming?

WHAT IS STILL TO TAKE PLACE – JESUS’ RETURN TO EARTH, JUDGEMENT FOR ALL & A NEW WORLD ORDER:

After these things, I heard what sounded like the roar of a huge crowd in heaven, shouting,

“Halleluyah!
The victory, the glory, the power of our God! For his judgments are true and just.
He has judged the great whore who corrupted the earth with her whoring.
He has taken vengeance on her who has the blood of his servants on her hands.”

And a second time they said,“Halleluyah!
Her smoke goes up forever and ever!”
The twenty-four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshipped God, sitting on the throne, and said,

“Amen! Halleluyah!”
A voice went out from the throne, saying,
“Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great!”

Then I heard what sounded like the roar of a huge crowd, like the sound of rushing waters, like loud peals of thunder, saying,

“Halleluyah! Adonai, God of heaven’s armies, has begun his reign!
“Let us rejoice and be glad!
Let us give him the glory!
For the time has come for the wedding of the Lamb, and his Bride has prepared herself — fine linen, bright and clean has been given her to wear.”
(“Fine linen” means the righteous deeds of God’s people.)

The angel said to me, “Write: ‘How blessed are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb!’” Then he added, “These are God’s very words.”
I fell at his feet to worship him; but he said, “Don’t do that! I’m only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers who have the testimony of Yeshua.
Worship God! For the testimony of Yeshua is the Spirit of prophecy.”

Next I saw heaven opened, and there before me was a white horse. Sitting on it was the one called Faithful and True, and it is in righteousness that he passes judgment and goes to battle.

His eyes were like a fiery flame, and on his head were many royal crowns. And he had a name written which no one knew but himself.
He was wearing a robe that had been soaked in blood, and the name by which he is called is, “THE WORD OF GOD.”
The armies of heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. And out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down nations — “He will rule them with a staff of iron.”
It is He who treads the winepress from which flows the wine of the furious rage of Adonai, God of heaven’s armies. And on his robe and on his thigh he has a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds that fly about in mid-heaven, “Come, gather together for the great feast God is giving, to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of generals, the flesh of important men, the flesh of horses and their riders and the flesh of all kinds of people, free and slave, small and great!”

I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to do battle with the rider of the horse and his army. But the beast was taken captive, and with it the false prophet who, in its presence, had done the miracles which he had used to deceive those who had received the mark of the beast and those who had worshipped his image.

The beast and the false prophet were both thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur. The rest were killed with the sword that goes out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
Revelation 19
Date of writing – Between 65-66 AD
- A.D. stands for Anno Domini, which is Latin for “year of our Lord,” and the number of years since the birth of Jesus Christ.

Now I will ·tell [recount to] you what the Lord has ·declared [decreed]: He said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.
[2 Sam. 7:14; Matt. 3:17; Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22; Acts 13:32–33; Heb. 1:5].

If you ask me [ Ask of me], I will give you the nations as your inheritance; all the ·people on [ends of the] earth will be ·yours [your possession]. You will rule over them with an iron ·rod [sceptre; a symbol of royal authority; Rev. 12:5; 19:15]. You will ·break [dash] them into pieces like pottery.” Psalm 2:9

So the way has been made clear and the rest is up to us. We can be welcomed as conquerors into the bridal feast and eternity with Jesus or we can be banished to eternity without God. And the way is simple. Jesus says:

“Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you.

Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honour at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors! Revelation 3:20-21

JESUS IS ALIVE and He wants to be given the chance to show you that He’s alive.
