Isn't God A Bearded Old Man in the Clouds With an Accusing Finger Just Waiting To Condemn?

Or does God keep track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in my ledger, each ache written in my book?

He’s everything but that bearded old man far far away, waiting to pounce each time we make a mistake! The creator of the universe is always near and waiting to help, He is on your side and He knows what you’re going through.

This is what the Bible says:

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth. He will fullfill the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. Psalm 145:18-19

You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help.
This I know: God is on my side! Psalm 56:8-9

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:3, 4

I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders.
I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I’m singing your song, High God.

The day my enemies turned tail and ran, they stumbled on you and fell on their faces. You took over and set everything right; when I needed you, you were there, taking charge.

You blow the whistle on godless nations; you throw dirty players out of the game, wipe their names right off the roster.

Enemies disappear from the sidelines, their reputation trashed, their names erased from the halls of fame.

God holds the high centre, he sees and sets the world’s mess right.

He decides what is right for us earthlings, gives people their just deserts.

God’s a safe-house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. Psalm 9

Let the one who boasts boast about this:
That they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord , who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24
