One Day We Will All Bow Down!

When this world is over and we stand before the Living God, all creation will worship Him!

Here’s what the Bible says:
…‘all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honour of God the Father.’ Philippians 2:10-11

That means every creature that ever lived….

Right at the crest, where Mount Olives begins its descent, the whole crowd of disciples burst into enthusiastic praise over all the mighty works they had witnessed:

Blessed is he who comes, the king in God’s name!
All’s well in heaven! Glory in the high places!
Some Pharisees from the crowd told him, “Teacher, get your disciples under control!”

But he said, “If they kept quiet, the stones would do it for them, shouting praise.” Luke 19:38-40

So let’s not let the rocks cry out on our behalf…
This is what God asks of us:

Hallelujah!
Praise God from heaven, praise him from the mountaintops;
Praise him, all you his angels, praise him, all you his warriors,
Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, you morning stars;
Praise him, high heaven, praise him, heavenly rain clouds;
Praise, oh let them praise the name of God— he spoke the word, and there they were!

He set them in place from all time to eternity;
He gave his orders, and that’s it!

Praise God from earth, you sea dragons, you fathomless ocean deeps;
Fire and hail, snow and ice, hurricanes obeying his orders;
Mountains and all hills, apple orchards and cedar forests;
Wild beasts and herds of cattle, snakes, and birds in flight;
Earth’s kings and all races, leaders and important people,
Robust men and women in their prime, and yes, greybeards and little children.

Let them praise the name of God—it’s the only Name worth praising.
His radiance exceeds anything in earth and sky; he’s built a monument—his very own people!
Praise from all who love God! Israel’s children, intimate friends of God.
Hallelujah! Psalm 148

I was reminded of this when I saw this pelican in a worship pose at sunrise.

No-one will be exempt!

You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him.
That’s right—you don’t go off on your own; you walk straight along the road he set.

God, you prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it.

Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set;
Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel.
I thank you for speaking straight from your heart; I learn the pattern of your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what you tell me to do; don’t ever walk off and leave me. Psalm 119:7-8
