Rule and authority gone wrong

Why do so many bad things happen today? With so much hatred, selfishness and lack … what kind of world did God want for us?

According to the Bible in Genesis 1:26, in the beginning God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.” Genesis 1:26 (The Message Bible)

We’re clearly not doing a great job with our responsibility to care for the earth, or the fish, birds, or even the air we breathe … so why did God put us in charge?

Why didn’t He just make the world a perfect place where we all do the right thing?

It wasn’t God’s plan for us to be without intellegence, to be led around like zombies without any choice. He made us in His image, able to reason, able to make our own decisions good and bad, but making available to us all the tools we need to live life successfully.

Right now this world is ruled by Satan and his evil is everywhere. Satan doesn’t want you to be happy. If you don’t read the Bible, God’s guide book on life for you, if we don’t follow God’s instruction but decide to do whatever we want, this world won’t be a happy place.

When we give in and do what we think makes us happy we can be wrong. We become lured by what may look good to us but if we don’t listen to our conscience its easy to become undisciplined, selfish, lazy, only out for ourselves. Nightly news broadcasts show us what happens when we follow an ‘if it feels good do it’ lifestyle.

Doing what easy brings consequences, not only for us but for those around us!

Time to step up and take action before we destroy everything around us. Its time for us to stand up and be counted, to take our responsibility seriously and do for others what we would want them to do for us.

If we all do what’s right we won’t have people making life hell for others, news headlines won’t announce how many people were stabbed or shot overnight and how many died at their own hands because life was impossible to cope with anymore.

God’s heart is for people to value, respect and love each other – to do to others what we would like done to us – thats His golden rule. Saying goodbye to selfishness brings love into the world and that’s the kind of world God wants for us.

God left us a blueprint for life, with the wisdom we need to cope with every situation that will come our way.

Its clearly not going to be that the whole world suddenly becomes what God intended because so many don’t even want to know what God wants, but we can start with us.

When we sow God’s principles into each day, we reap a totally blessed life, not one without problems, but with guidance each step that will make every hurdle seem less.

Discovering the Bible and reading it regularly will open you to the whole reason why you are here and God will begin to speak to you personally. He knows where you’re at right now and has a perfect plan for your life, starting with forgiveness for all your past wrong choices and mistakes.
