What Does God Says About Cryonics?

“It seems inevitable to me that medical science will eventually reach a stage where it understands all aspects of the body well enough to fix anything that goes wrong with it, such as injury, disease or the degenerative effects of ageing.” — Matt Fisher, a cryonics advocate.

Cryonics is the low-temperature preservation of people who cannot be sustained by contemporary medicine, with the hope that resuscitation and restoration to full health may be possible in the far future. Wikipedia

But can we actually cheat death through cryonics?
We already understand that freezing food keeps it fresh, but expectation of scientific immortality leaves me with more questions than answers.

For example, why is it suggested that people just have their head stored? This is a apparently the cheaper option but if science in the far far future actually achieves success, how can anyone live without a body? Who would be prepared to sacrifice their ‘body’ as a donation to the one being reanimated if immortality is available? And where would copious amounts of blood come from to rehydrate the body, replacing the antifreeze that currently keeps people frozen until success is achieved?

Then there are the questions about the world we live in…
Will our food also stop decaying in order to nourish a population that lives forever? Will our world become more fertile with so many mouths to feed? There is much said about overpopulation in our world right now so how can our world actually sustain a population that continues to reproduce but never dies?

I’m saddens me how people place their faith and their money in something with a possible 1-2% success rate, while their loved ones gather reminders of their loved one’s life and record messages of love for those who may return so they can remember them, then wait.

But this desire for immortality is innate within us. Now is the perfect time for you to ask God to reveal the truth in what you are about to read. You may never have done this before but just speak these words:

‘God, if you are real, please open the eyes of my heart so that I understand deep within me that these words are truth from you. In Jesus’ name AMEN."

Praying this prayer will make the following words more sense to you because now you have God’s spirit ready to teach you. You see it has always been God’s plan for us to live forever – a blessing freely offered to all who love Him. Living forever without disease, deformity or the degenerative effects of ageing is God’s idea…. .. but it must be on God’s terms.

Here are words from the Bible straight from God to you:

There is a time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:2-8

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him. John 3:16

All have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal; yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins. Romans 3:23-24

To Love, to Be Loved
God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love. 1 John 4:17

Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing..
Sooner or later we’ll all have to face God, regardless of our condition. We will appear before Christ and take what’s coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

If anyone sins deliberately by rejecting the Saviour after knowing the truth of forgiveness, their sin is not covered by Christ’s death; there is no way to get rid of it. There will be nothing to look forward to… Hebrews 10:27

All of us must die eventually; our lives are like water that is poured out on the ground—it can’t be gathered up again. 2 Samuel 14:14

So is being brought back to life through Cryonics a possibility?
The one who created us uniquely to live life with purpose and destiny tells us there are no second chances – that death is a one time event:

Everyone has to die once, then face the consequences. Christ’s death was also a one-time event, but it was a sacrifice that took care of sins forever. And so, when he next appears, the outcome for those eager to greet him is, precisely, salvation. Hebrews 9:27

When faced with death, we will become fearful and distressed, or we can choose to invite God into our situation and be at peace. Listen to this beautiful song about doing just that:

When we decide to live the way God planned and trouble comes, fear is replaced with confidence that all will be well. Then peace is possible no matter what lies before us, with the promise that when we die we are re-united with those who have also accepted Jesus and who have gone before us. It’s not the end.

We inherit a new eternal body free from disfunction and disease that will last for all eternity, the way God always intended before Adam disobeyed God’s instructions and began a life of selfishness that was passed on to us.

Jesus is the only one who can rescue us from this roller coaster to hell.

Peace, forgiveness and life everlasting are the gifts God gives us for accepting Jesus as Lord and it doesn’t empty our bank account. We will one day see our loved ones who have accepted Jesus again.

And God is planning a new heaven and a new earth to replace this old polluted one doomed for destruction so we who have chosen Jesus can live forever the way God always intended.
