Christmas Without Jesus

Imagine news of your upcoming birth being announced 700 years before you were born! Jesus’ birth was prophesied to the world in the 8th Century BCE – read it for yourself here:-

God spoke again to Ahaz. This time he said, “Ask for a sign from your God. Ask anything. Be extravagant. Ask for the moon!”

But Ahaz said, “I’d never do that. I’d never make demands like that on God!”

13 So Isaiah told him, “Then listen to this, government of David! It’s bad enough that you make people tired with your pious, timid hypocrisies, but now you’re making God tired. So the Master is going to give you a sign anyway. Watch for this: A girl who is presently a virgin will get pregnant. She’ll bear a son and name him Immanuel (God-With-Us).Isaiah 7:11-17

His ever-expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule with perfect fairness and justice from the throne of his father David. He will bring true justice and peace to all the nations of the world. This is going to happen because the Lord of heaven’s armies has dedicated himself to do it! Isaiah 9:5-7

Christmas Advertising is only about Santa and what we should get when Christ is the meaning of Christmas! Imagine the joy of your birthday celebration turning to sadness as everyone arrived at your party expecting you to give them gifts but not bringing you anything…

Is there even one who believes our world is perfect right now and we don’t need His sacrifice to bring us peace?

But whether we agree with Jesus or not, whether we invite Him into our Christmas celebrations or not, He continues to love us and patiently waits for us to accept His love.

May you enjoy a beautiful time with your family and friends as we celebrate God’s indescribable gifts of forgiveness, salvation, unmerited favour and love without end for us – all praise and thanks to Jesus – the only reason for this season!
