Last Day Dangers
The times we’ve always known have changed, with freedom of speech challenged into non-acceptance.
We are being examined about what we should say, what we should believe or not believe, what is politically acceptable. In the process, people are becoming intolerant even volatile towards others, self-absorbed, contending with anyone who disagrees with them. Even the media are cheering on new values that are for the exclusion of no-one. No-one that is unless you are a Christian. Christians are being silenced on a global scale for obedience to God.
But what is the fruit of this political correctness?
Those with the job of keeping us safe are being attacked with police powerless to bring peace. Ambulance medics are attacked just for trying to save lives, young people are stealing vehicles to use in robberies long before they are old enough to drive, we have more security in our homes than ever before but lawbreakers are unperturbed by the threat of being caught in the act. The list goes on.
What we see on the news is the results of this new paradigm, breeding mostly unhappiness because getting our own way doesn’t bring contentment, it just breeds contempt, with people wringing their hands, wondering how to fix things that are getting out of control.
It wasn’t like that when I was growing up. People were happy, respectful, putting others first, living the golden rule that says ‘Do to others what you would like them to do for you’ a simple rule that excludes no one and brings unity, not division.
As a Christian, every belief we have has become inappropriate by the louder protesters, with even human life no longer considered sacred. For a Christian, life will as we know it will change as these days continue.
The Bible warns of what will take place as our world comes close to the end, of the dangers of the Last Days, read it for yourself…
You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires. (Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth.) These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith. But they won’t get away with this for long. Someday everyone will recognize what fools they are 2 Timothy 3 New Living Translation
This information may seem harsh if it’s new to you, but there’s no way to sugar-coat what’s to come!
This passage taken directly from the Bible is so up to date it could have been written this morning!
God warned us what to expect. Looking around us it’s not hard to believe we’re living in the last days!
The truth, according to God’s Word is:
Jesus will return to judge us
We will ALL stand before Him and give an account of what we did with this gift we were given called life!
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.
1 Timothy 2:1-6
Right now we still have the choice.
We can accept His sacrifice on the cross to free us from our sin and begin a relationship with our Creator, or
We can stand before Him and explain why His supreme act of love was never enough.
When you look into His eyes will you say
“Jesus thank you for dying on the cross for me” and be told “Well done, good and faithful servant!”, or
“Jesus you died, but I don’t give a damn” and be ushered into eternity without Him. It’s always been your choice…
Now is the perfect time for you to get in touch with your Creator, before this world is destroyed by fire and time runs out!
Paul’s Charge to Timothy
But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it. Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 15 You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3 NLT
The spiritual battle for our souls is intensifying.
If you’re not assured of your salvation in Jesus, you can surrender all that is you to Jesus right now by asking Him to take control, then follow Him as He speaks to you and you’ll be safe when Jesus comes again!
He paid for our security with His life so we could be redeemed.
And He’s with you right now, waiting for you to say yes to His love for your, just surrender!
Christians actually win! And we have all that was Jesus at our disposal!
But you are not carnal but spiritual if the Spirit of God finds a home within you. You cannot, indeed, be a Christian at all unless you have something of his Spirit in you. Now if Christ does live within you his presence means that your sinful nature is dead, but your spirit becomes alive because of the righteousness he brings with him. I said that our nature is “dead” in the presence of Christ, and so it is, because of its sin. Nevertheless once the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives within you he will, by that same Spirit, bring to your whole being new strength and vitality. Romans 8:9-11
So, if you’re already a Christian and your place in heaven is assured, please pass this on to others so they too can enjoy life with Jesus forever.
