Do All Roads Lead To Heaven?

Some believe that everything either living or non-living, existing or no existing is part of same energy.. some call it god…“We are the same as plants, as trees, as other people, as the rain that falls. We consist of that which is around us, we are the same as everything.”

Some believe that no matter what path we take we will reach heaven, nirvana, utopia, enlightenment, that no matter what are our actions, we aren’t accountable to those we hurt along the way because it’s someone else’s choice to get upset.

Some believe if we don’t follow their religion or if we even question what they believe, the penalty should be death. I saw a news story last night about two Muslim men involved in a disagreement about what should be their belief, one desiring peace and the other consumed with confrontation, intimidation and violence. They both believe the Muslim way is the only way but didn’t agree on the process.

What do you believe?

We usually believe our opinions are correct when it comes to God but with so many different belief systems which one is right?

Maybe you believe that everything either living or non-living, existing or no existing is part of the same energy.. some call it god…“We are the same as plants, as trees, as other people, as the rain that falls. We consist of that which is around us, we are the same as everything.”

Master Shinran The Founder of Jodo Shin Buddhism says:
Every human consists of 108 worldly passions. Of these, desire, anger, and hatred are three major passions. When bitten by a bee or by a centipede, it takes five to seven days to heal. However, when one is poisoned by worldly passions, the wound never heals. Its victim carries this wound throughout his life. Instead of healing, the wound becomes gangrenous with hatred.

Some say they’re open to and accept all beliefs, but to accept all beliefs would be difficult when all beliefs don’t agree. We can’t all be right and the decision we make about what we believe bring eternal consequences. The only hope for mankind is in the transformation of the individual.

In the Bible, God warns us:
There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough;
look again—it leads straight to hell.
Sure, those people appear to be having a good time,
but all that laughter will end in heartbreak. Proverbs 14:12

And again a couple of chapters further on:
There’s a way that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Proverbs 16:25

Here’s what I’ve experienced after accepting Jesus, my Saviour :
A peace that makes no sense when everything around me looked dark and others are fearful and I’m not afraid. That’s the peace that comes from knowing that all God promises is true and there’s no need for fear when I’ve put my desires aside and been obedient to Him.

Through the ministry of God’s His Holy Spirit He speak to me every day, guiding my every step when I stop to listen and desire to put Him in the drivers seat!

He is intimately acquainted with everything about me… and I can say without the slightest doubt that He also knows all there is to know about you!

I have a personal experience with Him and what He says to me lines up with the Words recorded in The Bible, there is no contradiction and no disappointment in Him.

Each step I take He guides me and now in my senior years, I can look back and see that trusting God and following His guidance has never sent me in the wrong direction, never!

Jesus died on the cross to take away all the guilt and sin in my life, setting me free from my mistakes and setting me on a beautiful journey that continues to this day and I daily experience blessings from above, confirming that God loves me and approves of me, just as I am.

This has been my life with Jesus. Life doesn’t become problem-free when you become a Christian, but when things come across your path, like in my case my husband was diagnosed with Cancer recently, there is a peace that passes all understanding that all will be well… and it is!

My Bible tells me there is NO other way to heaven but through Jesus. Unless you accept Him as your personal saviour, your life doesn’t enjoy the peace that only God can give. Uncertainty about where you are headed all fade when you lay all your hurts, regrets and other ‘stuff’ that clogs your life at the foot of the cross.

I hope my story has given you enough curiosity to investigate more about following Jesus. By believing that Jesus is who He says He is and by accepting this personal relationship He offers, complete with forgiveness, provision, guidance and security for life, you too will experience peace that passes all understanding when things go wrong, a peace that is tangible. The closer you move towards God, the easier it will be to trust Him and I can personally testify that He will never let you down!

Even if you’re blind to the truths I’m stating God will not pass you by.

The Realities of Heaven:

But when the Messiah arrived, high priest of the superior things of this new covenant, he bypassed the old tent and its trappings in this created world and went straight into heaven’s “tent”—the true Holy Place—once and for all.

He also bypassed the sacrifices consisting of goat and calf blood, instead using his own blood as the price to set us free once and for all. If that animal blood and the other rituals of purification were effective in cleaning up certain matters of our religion and behaviour, think how much more the blood of Christ cleans up our whole lives, inside and out.

Through the Spirit, Christ offered himself as an unblemished sacrifice, freeing us from all those dead-end efforts to make ourselves respectable, so that we can live all out for God. Hebrews 9:15 MSG

A Living Knowledge of God
The wolf will romp with the lamb,
the leopard sleep with the kid.
Calf and lion will eat from the same trough,
and a little child will tend them.
Cow and bear will graze the same pasture,
their calves and cubs grow up together,
and the lion eat straw like the ox.
The nursing child will crawl over rattlesnake dens,
the toddler stick his hand down the hole of a serpent.
Neither animal nor human will hurt or kill
on my holy mountain.
The whole earth will be brimming with knowing God-Alive,
a living knowledge of God ocean-deep, ocean-wide. Isaiah 11:6-9

The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so he is giving more time for everyone to repent. 2 Peter 3:9

Don’t get trapped in a dead life:

Jesus said, “I tell you most solemnly that anyone who chooses a life of sin is trapped in a dead-end life and is, in fact, a slave. A slave is a transient, who can’t come and go at will. The Son, though, has an established position, the run of the house. So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through. I know you are Abraham’s descendants. But I also know that you are trying to kill me because my message hasn’t yet penetrated your thick skulls. I’m talking about things I have seen while keeping company with the Father, and you just go on doing what you have heard from your father.” John 8:36

And now to him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating – to our one God, our only Saviour, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time. Yes. Jude 1:24-45
